Anna Sui Ready To Wear Fall Winter 2015 New York

Though many designers mined the ‘70s for longer, leaner, sophisticated aesthetes for the season, Anna Sui was destined for Woodstock and the hippies. We're talking Mongolian fur coats, small leather cross body bags and flared trousers. We mean knit capes in a blue and green color way that you know get the job done simply because their heft has already stretched them a little bit. We're talking about the ‘70s.

Stockings are a mandatory, especially with those thin, printed baby doll dresses. Another requirement? Ivory lace for men and for women, either as a roomy top for either or just a top and skirt for the girls. Viking inspirations weasel themselves into capes but are put on display clearly in knit horned helmets. It was fun, enjoyable even. Can't wait to see how it does in stores.
