BECOME PARIS' NEXT FASHION DESIGNER

The reputed fashion school MOD'ART INTERNATIONAL and the leader of real time fashion photography NOWFASHION have teamed up to discover and provide an incredible experience to the talented designers of tomorrow. The plan is simple, a web-based fashion contest powered by NOWFASHION's loyal readers. The prize? A one year scholarship to attend a prestigious fashion school in Paris.

Learn your métier from the best fashion professionals in the City of Lights and feature your work on one of the most hyped fashion websites today.  The dream of many up-and-coming designers, can become a reality now, thanks to Mod'Art International and NOWFASHION's common designer contest initiative - it is no longer a utopia, but a true opportunity to discover and promote a promising fashion talent in Paris. This contest will be focused on an avant-garde take on creation, imagination, and fashion professionalism.

The contest is open to anyone aiming to become a designer, studying in Paris, regardless of his/her nationality or status.

You must be at least 18 years of age by January 1, 2013, and fluent in English to compete in this contest.

Step 1 – NOWFASHION's readers will select the top 50 designers

Applicants can submit their work via a dedicated link, from the 15th April to the 15th July 2013, and our readers will be able to vote and select the top 50 fashion designs directly on www.nowfashion.com and its social networks’ pages.

Step 2 – A Jury of professionals will narrow down to 20 top designers

The jury will consist of the key players in the fashion industry, including designers, consultants, journalists, entrepreneurs and experts alike. The lucky few must provide an image of their design and a short video of less than two minutes, explaining their creative thoughts and motivation.

Step 3 – And the NOWFASHION/Mod'Art New Designer 2013 winner is...

The jury will chose the winner based on the quality of their video and photo-shooting contributions.

The NOWFASHION/Mod’Art New Designer 2013 wins a one year scholarship to attend MOD'ART INTERNATIONAL in Paris, France, within the “French Fashion Design Creation” program offered by the school.

THE NOWFASHION/Mod’Art New Designer 2013 should expect an intensive year of study, with challenging, boundary-pushing creativeness and a focus on the reputed traditional French savoir-faire!

MUNDI 66° NORTH: SNOW BLIND MOVIE

Ready To Wear Fall Winter 2013 Reykjavik

As worthy Heir to a Norse Mythology of tales of deities, heroes and the fantasy genre, the Icelandic artist Mundi Vondi  transcended his new collection*  “post-post-apocalypse” AW 2013 in a surreal fable called SNOW BLIND.
Set in an undefined future, the movie features  the adventure of heroes exploring life after apocalypse, (leaded by actor Tomas le marquis).

Showcased in Eldborg, main concert hall of Harpa during Reykjavik Fashion Festival n°4, the highlight of the film screening was when his "characters’ were brought to life on stage, emerging from earth, walking on treadmills. The magic of light, rythm of music and strength of the image are an invitation to travel into an adventure and a quest.
