Tome Ready To Wear Fall Winter 2015 New York

Sarah Jessica Parker hoisted her phone up and took more than a few photos during the Tome show, proving a point: celebrities are just like us. Ok, maybe not just like us, as the actress was there because of her collaboration with the brand, but what she was shooting clearly wasn't her pieces. Beautifully cut bias dresses, shimmering fabrics and standout outerwear flashed in front of her lens.

It was a truly beautiful collection. There were quirky accents like coverings on every neck, whether it be in concert with some other piece or as a standalone. But there were also downright covetable pieces like a sumptuous pink coat with a thick white belt.

The designers cited Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Donna Karan as inspiration. From Keersmaeker, a Belgian dancer, they take an obsession with geometrics like with circular shaped lapels on most of the aforementioned outerwear. From Karan they took essential dressing — see smart trousers with space for stiletto heels for day as well as pinstriped shirts. It combined into something sensual, something modern and something incredibly enviable. So yeah, SJP, snap away. Because we're right behind you.
