Tracy Reese Ready To Wear Fall Winter 2014 New York

If you’re wondering what’s one must have piece to add to your wardrobe for evening this Fall, a handful of designers are on one accord: a gold dress. The designers at Suno, Monique Lhullier and now Tracy Reese, all offered up their own versions this week, with Reese’s as a knee-length sequined affair.

Other than that gold dress, Tracy worked her way through her collection mostly with prints. In particular a photorealistic print of a leafless tree pumped up looks. A herringbone made a appearance on a double breasted midi length trench coat - Reese's addition to the growing "season of the coat" - and them again on a cape. But once you throw in the paisley, plaid and floral prints, things seem to get a little overloaded.

And suddenly things seem headed for a nautical theme with a chevron print and a toggle coat before finally settling down a bit for evening. Though pieces leading up to this certainly had their strengths, it was this last segment that seemed to find strength as a group.

It was here that the gold sequined dress was found, with a matching sequin tunic. Reese ended on a high note with a full skirted black frock.
