Versace Couture Spring Summer 2012 Paris

Eight years on from her last Couture appearance, Donatella Versace stunned the crowds with a Spring Summer 2012 collection of pure Hollywood glamour. At the prestigious l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts, just over a dozen models walked down the runway in classic Versace get-up: metallic golds, silvers and bronze were infused with blood orange, apple green and citrine yellow.

The cuts were varied: from long dresses adorned with lace and sequins to shorter ensembles with greater structure. Amongst the sea of rhinestones, sequins and beading came a nice surprise - the plastic attached to the collection’s orange number. A combination that surely made heads turn. Another thoughtful addition was the dreamy embroidery wrapped around the models’ feet, the ‘accessory’ of the season beneath which came pearly white killer heels.
