Creatures of the Wind Ready To Wear Spring Summer 2015 New York

This season goes out to the accessories lovers. With Prabal Gurung having announced his foray into shoes, Zac Posen into jewelry, and a slew of brands into wearable tech (Rebecca Minkoff and Opening Ceremony among them), it's safe to say that expansion is a key trend. Creatures of the Wind tapped into that trend today showing everything from flatform sandals to a sexy red heel as a part of their debut footwear presentation, a four-piece capsule collection.

The styles complimented a varied apparel offering that started out the day with blue leaf printed jacquard jackets and ecru and grey cotton layered dresses. The quilted belts that were at BCBG Max Azria were back here bringing shape to sturdier materials though a black hand-knotted leather belt that came down over a thick black and white raffia coat as well as a shirt dress, making a stronger impression.

For evening things went darker and got a little funkier.  Silk organza skirts with lace overlay and Swarovski crystals brought a smile to the face, whether done all in black or infused with a bright blue and yellow. Another smile: the sleeveless aubergine vest, with enough crystals that it could easily be worn with a black skinny, sans accessories but always with the stunner that is the brand's sturdy new heel.
