Italian sole-leather brand Cuoio di Toscana, alongside many companies and institutions of fashion and luxury leather goods, shared their the commitment to defend women. “Violence against women does not go into quarantine: at the expense of the current moment of emergency, the numbers affecting this social injury show no sign of diminishing and, if we consider the case of domestic violence in the period of forced confinement, the result is still more impressive,” said the brand in an official statement.
In the face of this emergency, Cuoio di Toscana re-launched the #inpiedipertutte awareness campaign. This commitment has been renewed for 2020 with a territorial action in favour of La Casa Della Donna in Pisa, the first home-refuge for abused women founded in Tuscany and active for over twenty years. “The Association has set up the Solidarity Fund to meet the economic difficulties and daily needs, exasperated by the time of lockdown, of women followed by the anti-violence centre to which everyone can contribute with a donation,” added the brand in the statement.
The #inpiedipertutte campaign was first created three years ago as a reminder never to lower the focus on an act of violence that, nowadays, is more relevant than ever, and that shows no sign of diminishing. More information on the campaign can be found on Cuoio di Toscana’s website.
