D /ARK /CONCEPT /PARIS : A NEW WAY TO SHOWCASE BRANDS & THEIR IDENTITIES

Right by the Place des Vosges, stepping away from the Couture extravaganza, the first edition of D /ARK /CONCEPT /PARIS showroom presented a creative and very unique platform for designers to curate their vision and further their aesthetics onto a physical space. The concept initiative founded by Barbara Grispini, a dynamic international marketing and brand specialist, set to provide a commercial yet artsy showroom that certainly stand out among the many presented at this time of the year.

As an exhibition, D /ARK /CONCEPT /PARIS showcased brands from all over the world who are fast establishing their mark in the industry with "no gender separation collections" and a very strong identity. From star fashion director Nicola Formichetti’s Nicopanda line, Craig Green’s uniforms and utilitarian designs to Italy-based jewelry label Loha Vete by Max Zubari, each team operated their own Fall/Winter 2016 showrooms within the initiative and curated their own individual space.

Also featured in the intro installation area, Japanese brand The Reracs, British duo’s TOOGOOD and Paris-based brand Wanda Nylon specialized in fashion-forward vinyl and PVC rainwear, all added diversity of styles and talents.

Other editions are foreseen to take place in other parts of the world and hopefully will inspire other showrooms to think outside of the box and get creative when it comes to bringing together and showcasing brands and their identities.
