Hedonism meets street style. Hardcore Rococo. Dynasty and nasty. Just like the iconic TV series from the evil 80’s or a story of noble lineage with disturbing, creepy undertones. This season, Dean and Dan Caten imagined the heroines of an underground court, transforming the DSquared catwalk into the reign of a Marie Antoinette leaving a London nightclub. First rule: imposing shoulders, seen in the bolero jackers and military tailcoats. Giant regal silhouettes covered with embroidery, striped prints and fanciful fur details. Embroidered transparent T-shirts emblazoned with heraldic crests denoting noble lineage. In between there was a runway of animal prints, crystal pavé, puffball skirts and oversize jeans. The exaggerated denim shapes, with a washed effect that made them shiny, were completed with a handful of sequins.
