Elizabeth and James Ready To Wear Spring Summer 2015 New York

Let's head out to the West Coast for some fun in the sun, and while we're at it, it might be good to snap up one of those boards from the back drop of the Elizabeth and James show to catch a wave or three.  The collection was just yet another page in the book that chronicles the Olsen twins as real and actual designers, ready and working to have a lasting impact on fashion.  The palette of mostly white and black, the easy, slightly slouchy pieces like in a pair of white overalls or a strapless jumpsuit, and the sportiness of it all put the designers smack dab on trend with everything else we've seen for the week.

Of course, there was also their own power punch, mostly by way of the bags from the collection.  A yellow croc skin belt bag was a modern, luxe update on the fanny pack while the eyewear collection is sure to fly off the shelves fast.  Even the bucket bag and backpack made an appearance, the former covered in a palm print that came in black and red throughout the collection. There's a reason why these two just won the Accessories Designers of the Year award from the CFDA.
