Ermanno Scervino Ready To Wear Spring Summer 2013 Milan

The fashion word that best describes the spring/summer 2013 Ermanno Scervino collection would be "Boho-Chic." The backdrop of the show pointed to where the designer's bohemian beauties would spend their summer- the Mediterranean coast, somewhere between the South of Italy and the strait of Gibraltar. The sun should be shining and women should be wearing skimming floor dresses embellished with feathers at the bodice or mini frocks with lace inserts and fringes at the hem.

The color palette is made of warm shades such as coral, purple and soft yellow. Some green and pink neon hues made an appearance but worked more like breaking points in the presentation as to separate two sequences. In fact, a black and white series followed the playful summer day looks and expressed the "chic" side of the collection.

This collection like the previous ones celebrates Italian craftsmanship. Front row critics are sure to remember the organza handmade feathers and the patchworks made of refined fabrics and macrame. During the show there was some unique savoir-faire on display and in movement, Ermanno Scervino served us a beautifully-made, ready-to-wear proposal.
