Conceptualism, Dadaism, Fauvism, New Realism. The words on the ground were the first things guests noticed when entering the venue. A fancy seated venue would have been the wrong place to present Études Studio's collection for Spring Summer 2015. On the day of the show, guests were invited into this wonderful light and spacious car garage on Rue Amelot.
It was a match made in heaven. This season, Études Studio came up with a very crisp and clean collection entitled 'MX-ISM', that was inspired by mass-market energy drinks and the visual aspects of motocross.
Motocross references were made throughout the entire collection, for example in prints and by letting the models carry helmets, but above all by the synthetic MX-inspired tops.
The sportive looks were alternated with excellent more sophisticated suit jackets, shirts, and trousers, strengthened by sharp hats.
It was that fusion of great tailoring and sportswear that made this collection such a success. The choice of materials was amazing as well, using French and Italian textiles and technical fibers.
It was the presentation after the show that offered the opportunity for the show attendees to have a closer look at the well tailored pieces.
