Kenzo’s Trendy Memento Capsule Collection Is Already Available

Yesterday, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon put up a surprising and outstanding show in Paris for the fourth presentation of Kenzo’s Memento collections – and, as of today, this archive-inspired capsule collection is already available online and in stores worldwide.

In fact, the Kenzo show was a much-needed break from the regular runway formats: this time around, the invited guests almost fell off their chairs – literally – as they were all seated on moving platforms that ultimately interacted with the show’s scenography and the dancers’ impressive choreography.

The show itself – it was quite an entertaining one! – consisted of a group of dancers who offered an experimental spectacle while sporting Carol Lim and Humberto Leon’s latest Memento collection that stood out for its bold prints and colorings. To achieve this impressing choreography, Partel Oliva, Paul Sadot, and Nqobilé Danseur worked on a joint creation that was based on a variety of dance traditions and techniques.

“For this collection, we have decided to put the spotlight on some of the house’s most vivid and diverse prints and graphics,” the designer-duo stated, adding that Kenzo Takada’s historical prints were reinterpreted for this collection, such as the brand’s trendy tiger motif that was airbrushed onto garments. “We celebrate Kenzo Takada’s fun and whimsical side. His consistent ability to bring a tongue-in-cheek attitude to the fashion world and, most importantly, his love for food and entertaining.” Cheers to that!
