Luisa Beccaria Ready To Wear Spring Summer 2013 Milan
The Luisa Beccaria spring/summer 2013 show was an invitation to an afternoon cocktail beach party.
The song "couleur café, que j’aime ta couleur café…" was playing while the audience was taking seats. The catwalk was decorated with a blue stripe and pink floral floor paper recalling one of the main prints of the collection.
Like always at Luisa Beccaria, the mood was joyful and romantic. This time the designer invited her guests to a tropical heaven and shared her Bahian dreams; hence, the clothes were reminiscent of traditional Bahian dresses and some models were carrying a basket of pink flowers on top of their head. Eyelet dresses and combos were the stars of the catwalk and came in strawberry pink and white. Long dresses with a pile of ruffles had a gypsy look and feel, but were very finely made with finishes that demonstrated a serious attention to details. The headbands had a gigantic bow that contributed to the folkloric allure of the silhouettes. Cinched at the waist with a pink grosgrain ribbon, the short and mid-length dresses were very flattering. Looks were completed with raffia matching wedge sandals, mostly in white with or without flower appliqués.
Luisa Beccaria knows how to design effortless and charming day dresses that flatter the wearer and enchant the people around. For evening cocktails on the beach, the designer created silk chiffon garments, very sensual and romantic.
