Marni Ready To Wear Fall Winter 2012 Milan
As always, Marni’s creative director Consuelo Castiglioni designed a collection for a woman forever lingering between adolescence and adulthood – a fearless babydoll, a candid femme fatale.
This collection embodied this spirit to a T: it kicked off with its trademark neo-60s touch – this time reinvented via white tights and heavy bangs—, yet switched last season’s pastel tones and floral patterns for graphic prints and bold reds with plenty of black detailing.
The rather London mod silhouettes were soon infused with ultra-feminine touches, including fur shawls, waxed python trench coats, and belted tweed skirt suits.
Nevertheless, Ms. Castiglioni remained her cheeky self – think oversized pockets on sharp wool coats, for a playful Alice in Wonderland touch, clip-on collars, and mini satchel bags.
For the boldest ones amongst you, pajama-inspired shimmery ensembles (worn with a belt and golden heels bien sûr), are also an option. Here is another interpretation of lingerie chic.
