On the morning of the last day of the menswear schedule, models wearing Pierre Mahéo's Spring Summer 2015 collection for Officine Generale lined up on the steps of the wonderful Odéon Théâtre de l'Europe, while breakfast was being served to the guests.
Launched in 2012, Officine Generale is among the youngest brands on the Paris schedule. Influenced by tailored military uniforms, the collection was executed in silhouettes that would have better matched the Autumn Winter season.
However, the designer made sure to strip back the clothes to a minimum, making them perfect for the European summer season.
Crisp suits, leather jackets and collarless shirts were toned down with espadrilles and canvas boots to create that summery look. Classic summer shapes were added to Mahéo's collection as well, for example with T-shirts, light cotton jersey polos and relaxed chinos.
Even though it was very rainy on the day of the presentation, summer vibes were all over the square when the models were coming out of the theatre.
It all worked very well; it was this excellent fusion of the creativeness of the Autumn Winter season on the one hand and the thin fabrics of the Spring Summer season on the other.
