Paris Fashion Week To Go Ahead In September

The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode announced in an official statement yesterday, that Paris Fashion Week will take place in a physical format later this year.

“The Haute Couture and Fashion Federation confirms the holding of Paris Fashion Week® for Women's Fashion. It will take place from Monday 28 September to Tuesday 6 October and will comply with the recommendations of the public authorities for its implementation,” the Fédération said.

It was also revealed that the week will be augmented by the same digital platform set to be used for the online men’s Paris Fashion Week, due to take place from the 9th to 13th July.

The dedicated platform ensures that “the principle of the official calendar is maintained” whilst also “being accessible to a very large audience”, the Fédération explained last month.

A schedule for Paris Fashion Week or the fashion houses presenting their women’s spring/ summer 2021 collections have not been announced.

Paris is the first confirmed fashion week following the COVID-19 outbreak. New York Fashion Week is scheduled for September but is yet to commit to this. London Fashion Week was the first to experiment with an online format earlier this month and Milan will also go digital from the 14th to 17th July.
