French Designer Jean Paul Gaultier is known for his theatrics and his innovative and exciting ways of surprising his fans.
And after showing for the last time last January, with a thrilling, unexpected move the House of Gaultier has announced a new chapter in its history.
The House has announced that each season a new designer will be invited to interpret the codes of the House. The first designer will, of course, be Chitose Abe, the founder and designer of SACAI.
While the show will be postponed to January 2021, the designer has invited his audience to immerse oneself in the preparation of this “No Show”, guided by longtime friends and a new generation of Gaultier’s muses wearing the best-of JPG Haute Couture archive collections.
From his iconic muses to JPG's very own team who has contributed to building this House over the years the audience is invited to explore this marvellous cross-over between the world of Haute Couture and the multifaceted French beauties.
Undoubtedly, a free and contemporary take on the spirit of L’Enfant terrible of la mode.
