Italian luxury menswear brand Ermenegildo Zegna has announced a surprise collaboration with Fear of God — a prominent American brand founded by Jerry Lorenzo in Los Angeles.
Alongside Lorenzo, Ermenegildo Zegna’s Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori created a four-handed man collection, including accessories, which represents a cross-pollination between Zegna’s renowned tailoring expertise and Fear of God’s unique take on modern luxury.
“My design studio at Zegna is an ongoing experimental laboratory, where we merge innovation, craft and techniques to conceive garments starting from designing fabrics. Zegna and Fear of God are both inspired by the same sentiment towards a unique craftmanship, giving life to a new form of hybrid elegance and independent style,” explained Sartori to Nowfashion.
Combining a mixture of Zegna’s high-quality production and Fear of God’s exceptional garments that epitomise the fusion of elegance, wearability and heritage, the final result is something unexpected. Much like two opposites attracting each other, iconic American subcultures and touchstones such as varsity athletes, high school garage bands and California’s skate culture will be intertwined with Zegna’s artisanal sartorial expertise to create a contemporary wardrobe thought for a young man whose lifestyle is a hybrid expression of elegance and freedom.
The collection is set to be unveiled with an exclusive event at Paris Fashion Week on March 2nd.
